The North Florida TPO, in partnership with the Jacksonville Transportation Authority, Florida Department of Transportation District 2, City of Jacksonville, and other members of the North Florida ITS Coalition developed a Regional Intelligent Transportation Systems Master Plan in 2007 to:
- Establish the region's vision and goals for intelligent transportation systems
- Determine the steps needed to achieve those goals
- Guide the Coalition in coordinating, integrating, and prioritizing projects
In 2010 the Master Plan was updated to evaluate ITS accomplishments, identify and prioritize ITS needs and plan for future technologies.
